Maebell Gregory Toliver, born on March 10, 1962, in Memphis, IN, to the late Robert Gregory, Sr. and Cleora Jeffries Gregory, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 20, 2025, at Methodist Germantown Hospital.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother Randy Gregory and her sister Beatrice Gregory.
Maebell attended the Marshall County School system and graduated from Byhalia High School with the class of 1980. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family and creating cherished memories that will be remembered by all who knew her.
On February 16, 1990, Maebell married Vernon Toliver, with whom she shared a loving and devoted partnership for over 35 years.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories, her husband Vernon, one daughter LaShaunda Toliver, and grandson Triston Sampson of Columbia, South Carolina. She is also survived by two brothers, Robert (Hattie) Gregory Jr. and Terry Gregory of Byhalia, MS; six sisters, Bertha (Charles) Thomas, Bettie Hankins, Rose (Barry) Richmond, Leora (Keith) Taylor, and Lorine (Jeffrey) Wooten, all of Byhalia, MS, and Patricia Gregory of Memphis, TN; five brothers-in-law, Louis and Rodney Toliver of Robinsonville, MS, James Toliver of Tunica, MS, Rufus (Carla) Toliver of Memphis, TN, and Ulyssessee Toliver of Southaven, MS; four sisters-in-law, Aldonia (Willie) McKay of Detroit, MI, Clara (Lemorris) Johnson of Tunica, MS, Bertha and Gloria Toliver of Memphis, TN; and a host of nieces and nephews who will greatly miss presence.
Maebell's warmth, kindness, and love for her family Will be deeply missed. She leaves behind a legacy of love and compassion that will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her.
